ADHD + Autism Assessments For Children
Well Tended provides comprehensive, in-person ADHD and autism assessments for children and adolescents in Rapid City, South Dakota.
Assessments are individualized and use multiple sources of information to better understand a child's developmental history, current functioning, strengths, and areas of concern.
Depending on the referral question and individual needs of the child, the evaluation may include clinical interviews, behavioral observation, standardized rating scales, review of relevant records, and direct assessment measures, when clinically appropriate.
The purpose of the evaluation is to provide a thorough clinical assessment, clarify diagnostic questions when possible, and develop individualized recommendations for the child and family.
Why Assessments?
The goal isn't just a label. It's understanding what the findings mean for your child.
A thoughtful evaluation can help clarify whether your child's experiences are consistent with ADHD, autism, another mental health or developmental concern, overlapping conditions, or whether additional evaluation may be appropriate.
Just as importantly, assessment helps us identify strengths, areas of need, and recommendations that can guide what comes next.
That may include recommendations for therapy, parent support, school-based supports or accommodations, additional medical or specialty evaluation, or other services based on your child's individual needs.

Assessments are provided in person in Rapid City, South Dakota.
Assessment recommendations and diagnostic conclusions are based on the information available at the time of evaluation and the clinician's professional judgment. Completion of an evaluation does not guarantee a particular diagnosis, school eligibility determination, accommodation, service, or benefit.
Schools and other organizations make their own eligibility and accommodation decisions according to their applicable requirements. When additional evaluation outside the scope of Well Tended is indicated, appropriate referral recommendations may be provided.
